Car manufacturers compete for the most innovative future car

New technologies and innovations, new business models and new competitors present the automotive industry and its established players with major challenges. Which car manufacturers have successfully taken up the fight for the future of mobility and which are lacking speed? Which technologies are becoming the core topics of the industry? The Connected Car Index 2018 (CCI) study, conducted in collaboration with carIT, compares the innovation and performance of the 19 global automakers and major automotive countries. The presentation will show the results of the study for the first time and evaluate the most important innovations in the industry.


Dr. Stefan Bratzel is the director and founder of the independent Center of Automotive Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Bergisch Gladbach. After completing his studies in political science and later earning his doctorate, Bratzel worked in and around the auto industry. Among other positions, he has held posts as a project manager at smart, as program manager, Project Line Automotive at Group3G and as the head of Business Development Automotive at PTV. Since April 2004, he has worked as a lecturer and course program director for automotive management at the University of Applied Sciences in Bergisch Gladbach.
