Future mobility services platforms of car manufacturers are changing their focus from a pure in-vehicle user experience to a holistic and integrated customer experience that takes over every kind of interaction with the customer – mobility services around the vehicle and far beyond. Car-as-a-service companies are driving change and influencing how consumers perceive mobility – the emphasis is on comfort rather than ownership.

The presentation will shed light on how carmakers can take control of the entire customer journey, manage a seamless & end-to-end customer-centric ecosystem for mobility, and realize car data monetization by shifting from a car-oriented to a user-centric view.

Thomas Richter has more than 20 years of international management experience at nameable automotive and manufacturing enterprises. As lean management expert for the automotive industry, he has restructured automotive production facilities and the product engineering value chain. Afterwards he moved into the Management Board of an international company operating in the factory automation business and took responsibility for corporate development and global sales and marketing. In 2009, Thomas entered the technology-oriented consulting arena and advised as partner well-known largescale enterprises in automotive and manufacturing on strategic and operational issues such as shaping new digital business models and services. Lastly, he joined Pegasystems as Director Industry Principal for Automotive driving the Pega automotive journey and connecting industry and customer needs to the Pega technology and software suite.
